nova4motion Driving School – Terms & Conditions

Nova4Motion Driving School aims to provide a friendly, safe and professional learning experience.
By booking lessons with us, you agree to the terms below.

1. General

  • Standard lesson duration is 2 hours. Any time lost due to circumstances beyond the instructor’s control will be added to a future lesson.

  • Lessons may occasionally be rescheduled at short notice due to mechanical issues or other unexpected events.

  • All lessons must be paid for before they begin. Prices may change, but learners will always receive reasonable notice.

  • The instructor’s priority is road safety. If necessary, they may take control of the car to prevent danger or damage.

  • Nova4Motion is not liable for any driving errors, fines, accidents or incidents that occur when the pupil is driving without the instructor, before or after passing the test.

  • Lessons will be refused and charged in full if the pupil is believed to be under the influence of alcohol, drugs or any condition affecting safe driving.

  • Nova4Motion accepts no liability for injury, damage or loss caused by the pupil’s negligence during lessons.

2. Learner Requirements

To take driving lessons in the UK, you must:

  • be 17 years old or over

  • hold a valid UK driving licence (provisional or full, including an accepted foreign licence)

You must show proof of a valid licence before your first lesson.
If this is not provided, the lesson may be refused and still charged.

3. Payments

You can pay directly to the instructor:

  • Cash

  • Bank transfer

Bank details will be provided on request at the time of booking.

(Cheques are not accepted.)

4. Block Bookings, Cancellations & Refunds

4.1 Scheduling lessons

Lesson time, duration and pickup point must be confirmed with the instructor.
Instructor availability may vary — a lesson is only confirmed once both sides agree.

You must inform the instructor of anything affecting your ability to drive (e.g. change in your licence status).

4.2 Validity of prepaid packages

Pre-paid hours must be used within:

Package validity is 10 hours in 2 months. 15 hours in 3 months. 20 hours in 4 months.

Unused hours after this period become non-refundable.

4.3 Cancellation Policy

  • 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a booked lesson.

  • Late cancellations will be charged in full.

  • Reducing the duration of a booked lesson (e.g. from 2h to 1h) also counts as a late cancellation.

  • Lessons are non-transferable to another person.

4.4 Refunds

Refunds for unused prepaid lessons must be requested within 28 days of payment.
Hours already taken are charged at standard rates.

5. Driving Test Bookings

  • The DVSA test fee does not include the use of the instructor’s car for the test or the warm-up lesson.

  • The instructor must agree that the pupil is safe and ready before using the school car for a test.

  • Nova4Motion reserves the right to withhold the car if the pupil is not prepared for the test standards.

6. Insurance & Safety

  • All Nova4Motion vehicles are fully insured for driving tuition.

  • A dashcam may be used for safety and training purposes. Video is only stored securely and never shared without your consent.

  • If at any point you feel uncomfortable, simply let us know — your comfort and safety matter.

7. Weekend Pricing

  • Lessons Monday–Friday are charged at the standard rate.

  • Lessons at weekends include a £5 per hour extra.

  • All prices will be clearly confirmed when booking — no hidden fees.

8. Personal Data & Privacy (UK GDPR)

We respect your privacy and protect your data.

  • We only collect information needed for running your lessons (name, contact details, driving licence).

  • Your data is stored securely and never shared unless legally required.

  • You can request to see, update or delete your information at any time.

  • By booking lessons, you consent to being contacted about lesson scheduling and test preparation.

9. Acceptance of Terms

By booking lessons with Nova4Motion Driving School, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
